Virtuals Protocol is a platform launched in 2024 that allows users to create, tokenise, and monetise AI agents for gaming, entertainment, and virtual environments. The protocol uses a bonding curve system in which new AI agents are created for a 100 VIRTUAL fee. Users can trade agent tokens until an agent accumulates 42,000 VIRTUAL in trading volume, at which point it graduates to a permanent liquidity pool paired with VIRTUAL. AI agents are multimodal, supporting text, speech, and 3D animation, and can manage on-chain wallets autonomously through the GAME framework. The protocol generates revenue through interaction fees, funding periodic buybacks and burns that reduce VIRTUAL’s total supply. Token holders can stake for veVIRTUAL to access DAO governance and agent token airdrops.
